'Identity of an Island - Gozo: Art between Past and Present'
This collective art exhibition celebrated the identity of the Mediterranean island of Gozo through an engagement with art historical dialogue and contemporary art practice. It took place at Teatru Astra in Victoria, Gozo in 2022, under the artistic direction of Dr Mark Sagona, Head of the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Malta.

'The artistic genre of ruins interpreted as the depletion of moral and aesthetic values'
'The Artistic genre of ruins interpreted as the depletion of moral and aesthetic values (Within a Maltese context)' formed part of a collective exhibition entitled 'Strada Stretta Occupy' by Students which was held at The Splendid in Strada Stretta and Società Dante Alighieri in Old Bakery Street, Valletta. The works exhibited by Matthew Shirfield were part of his B.A Hons dissertation in History of Art and Fine Art with the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Malta under the supervision and guidance of Professor Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci.

'Dante: Il Folle Volo, Vie Smarrite, La Prima Radice'
The Strada Streeta Concept collaborated with the Società Dante Alighieri and the University of Malta Art and Art History Department for a collective exhibition in honour of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death. This event was open at the Società Dante Alighieri in Old Bakery Street and The Splendid in Strada Stretta, Valletta.

'The Damned Sublime'
In a collective art exhibition named 'Damned Sublime', students following the Painting Workshop study unit with the Department of Art and Art History, Faculty of Arts, University of Malta, explored the themes Dante touched on in his Divine Comedy.

'Perception: postscripts'
'Perception: postscripts' was held in 2019 at the Art Galleries of Palazzo de La Salle, Malta Society of Arts, Valletta. This collective exhibition was held by the Malta Society of Arts under the guidance of the exhibition’s artistic director Roderick Camilleri.
